And now, my son, you know firsthand my reason to delay going into newer generations. Besides requiring significant investment and commitment, you have to deal with this unless you're a wizard who won't share his alchemical secrets with the population en masse (for free). Likely you'll have to wait until this generation has reached its half-life, bearing technological improvements.

Yeah, it kinda sucks, but so far the pros have been outweighing the cons. G3F has been out for a while now, the support seems pretty decent.

Now I think my biggest issue are the shoes… I have so many V4 shoes I need to get working on G3F. Of course I'd have this problem on G2F as well, most are generation 4 only. Also I'll update that compatibility thread, minor issue I ran into the other day.

those 6 gigs are a must have for me, fun would be lowered if i have to care for texture sizes and stuff those plugin problems 2 months ago almost killed the fun for ongoing projects…

i never reached those 6, but i am always around... 4-5 even in biggest sceneries, and its nice not to care for

I started mine last week, we shall see how this goes. I have it set out to where I release a new image everyday and they get access to this for $1 a month, but I also post free images on there too, I'm using it as sort of a blog since my main presence is on tumblr and deviantart and also pixiv for the international interest.

I also had a thought about someone creating a main patreon for all the 3d artists that are interested, this would bring in several interested parties and it would be a one stop shop for new 3d content for fans of said artists. the income would be split evenly with all artists naturally.
