We've found a new payment process to replace Safecharge.
Could you post the name of a new processor, please?
I can't divulge that info until everything is sorted out first.
I'm just curious. What's the reason to take down these sets? Too hard or because there are non humans in?
Basically, non-human and themes.
We're still awaiting word about the evaluation, but we're hoping it should be done within the week.
So quick update: We've found a new payment process to replace Safecharge, but that means we're being checked and evaluated by the banks. For the time being, several products have been disabled until the evaluation is complete. Once it's finished, we will re-enable the products again. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Last year's Xmas Charity set was an amazing success as we raised over $5000 with the amount split between American Red Cross and Amnesty International. So we're gonna do it again this year!
In order for this to work, we will need at least 10 participate artists who agree to work on a short image set (10-15 images), which will then be combined into one super set for the store. Last year we had 17 artists participate, so this year we're hoping for more to sign up.
Like last year, the proceeds will be donated to charity (TBA).
We're right now aiming for either the 17th of 24th of December. Once I get a confirmed date, I'll make sure to update this.
If you want to participate, let me know in the comments below. If you've already finished your portion, you can email me at [email protected]. Thank you!
Questions & Answers
Q: Does the mini set have to be Xmas-themed or related?
A: No. You can do any theme you want for your portion as long as they follow the store guidelines.
Q: What if I want to do more than 15 images?
A: I'm only accepting up to 15 images per artist. Any extra images you can post on your personal blog or use it for a future release. Speaking of…
Q: What if I wanted to use my portion as a sampler for future set? Would that be possible?
A: Absolutely! You can use your portion as a preview for any future title you're looking to release. One artist did more than enough and ended up using it for a store release.
Q: Can I use old material for my portion?
A: I'm gonna say yes since that defeats the purpose. Your part should at least be majority new.
Q: Are you only accepting 10 artists or more?
A: 10 is the required number in order for this project to continue. We will accept as many artists as possible. The more the merrier!
Q: What charity will the money be donated to?
A: Currently, we haven't decided on which charity we will donate to, but if you have a suggestion, leave it in the comments below.
Q: Can I collaborate with someone?
Q: What's the due date for turning my portion?
A: If we go by tDecember 17th, we'll need most of the entries in by the 12th for promo work. If I have enough, then I'll say by the 15th at the very latest.
Q: What about last year's set? Will that be posted up again?
Yes. We will be posting last year's edition at a discounted price since some of the material has been posted either in different products or on the artist's website.
Q: How long will this be up in the store?
A: Similar to last year, we will keep it up until the end of January.
Q: If I want to post my stuff up on my blog, will that be allowed?
A: You will be allowed to post your stuff up after January anywhere you please.
Note: Artist's name in Bold denotes their portion has been turned in.
Scheduling has opened up for the store. If you haven't done so, please check this thread first for the changes made to the schedule.

Because of the influx of new vendors and the increase of titles coming into the store, I'm making a few changes to how scheduling is done.
First off, Saturdays won't be available on a "first come, first serve" basis. They will be available on case by case basis instead. To request a Saturday release date, you follow a few of the following criterias (Note: You don’t have to have all the criterias, but doing so would help your case):
Another major change is that we are now limiting everyone to scheduling one promotional release date within a two month period. By this I mean we will promote only one release on the main site, store, and social media every two months. Any subsequent releases in the store will go without promotional support.
To give an example, if you release two products in November and December, you can request one of them get promotional support, which includes a post promoting the title, banners posted within the site and store, and mentions through our social media. The other will not receive as much support, but can be released at any time. This means that the promotion will be handled on your end. It will also mean you will have flexibility on when you release the latter product.
There is one exception to this rule: If you intend to release two products on the same day, we will promote both of them.
Lastly, Tuesday and Thursday will be considered dual release days from now on. That means that you may share your release date with another artist. This change is mainly due to the influx of vendors joining the store. Currently the store has over 60 artists on board and I expect that number to grow in the coming year.
So this is what we’re planning for next month. I will release the Nov-Dec schedule within the next couple of days. If you have any comments or questions about these changes, you can reply to this post and I’ll answer any questions.
I got word earlier from miro that payment processor Safecharge (one of the services in the store) will be dropping adult from their services by the end of the month. Because of that, we will have to disable a few titles from the front page until we add a new payment processor. That does not mean we're removing any titles from the store as of this moment.
I will update you once I get more information.
So I spoke with miro and we're looking into some additional changes to the store (you may have seen a few like the updated product pages).
One of them is doing a vendor of the month. The staff will select a vendor who follows the criteria below and place their products in a section visible on the front page (like in the top menu). The criteria are as follows:
-You must be a vendor of the store for at least 6 months.
-You must have at least 5 non-free products in the store.
-During your month, all your products will be discounted 15-20%. If you release a new product during the month, you can negotiate for a lower or higher discount.
Currently, I don't know when we'll start this feature (possibly in October at the earliest). The other thing is that the vendor of the month will not coincide with the artist of the month on the main site (affect3d.com) as those will be separate entities.
If you're selected, you will be contacted about this and given the option to accept or decline. If you decline, you won't be selected again unless you let us know. If you prefer to opt-out entirely, you can contact me via [email protected] stating that you opt out of the VOTM program.
If there's any questions you have about it, let me know below. Again, this is a possible idea that may be implemented.
The calendar is filled for the next two months (and right at the beginning of September, you guys!).
Because of that, if you are looking to release something with September or October, we can arrange for a dual release with another artist. Let me know what day you would like and we can make arrangements. Please note this does not mean you can switch your release date. You can however contact another artist about trading your date(s) after approval from me.
Lastly, seriously guys! Two months already full before this one really began? I'm really impressed!
If you're looking to schedule a release, just email me at [email protected] for more info.

It is a good idea, I fully support it!
But it is necessary to improve the product publishing system. For example as is done in the Renderotica. The user can download his product to the store via a special section of the site, and then it will wait for the approval of a moderator. This will help avoid the queues at the product publications. Perhaps at the beginning of the content of this publication will be a little, but in the future may form the queue, the same as now with titles.
Funny thing is we were working on something like that for the store to allow people to login and upload their own listings for review. But we had some issues with the plugin, so that has been delayed.
I noticed that new releases are not excepted from sales. This is something I'm a bit annoyed about. Most sales you made in the first two weeks. If you are unlucky, like me with my last release, there is a sale shortly after you release your set. You can also not plan your release to avoid this because there is no schedule for sales. Is there a way to except new releases from sales? Like DAZ did? Let's say for two weeks or so. What did the other artists think about this issue?
With the agreement, it does state that the price of the title may be changed for the purposes of promotions or specials. But if you prefer not to have your new release part of a sale, you can contact me about it. It will depend on the age of your title as well.
I will plan to provide more notifications about future sales. One of the things we'll try is more variety sales instead of just storewide sales.
I like it. I am getting into 3DX from pinups so now I am on the lookout for sexy-time poses, props, etc. Selling my first set, around 60% or so were poses I did myself. In addition to buying poses here, we could sell poses we used in our sets. Others that create their own props for sets may want to sell them too.
Actually, we're not looking into doing pose sets. We mainly want to focus on characters/morphs, models, props, and possibly scenes.
If you didn't know, the site is 5 years old this month. Because of that, we're planning on doing a few special things to celebrate.
One of the things I asked miro about doing is an interview with him taking questions from the visitors of the site. The thing is it may be recorded. Depending on if he's willing to do it, you may have a chance to hear miro's actual voice (Spoilers: He pronounces Z as "zed").
But before we can hope and pray that he'll speak, we'll need questions from you. So in this thread, just reply with any question(s) you have for him. It can be about the site, G4E, what a wallaby looks like, how big is Batista's dick, etc. From whatever we receive, we'll select the best questions and send them to him.
So if you have anything you want to ask miro, add your questions in this thread now!
Looks like your connection to NodeBB was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
