  • @'~ArgonCyanide777':

Which mats and stuff do you use to give the lingerie that flimsy transparent-ish look?

    in octane:
the opacity mat given with the clothing, but i'm adding some transmission color (usullay i am lazy and just connect the map used for the diffuse there)

  • @'SinCyprine':

    i am a cat

I really like the overall aesthetics on this render. Subtle but just suggestive enough, and the morph on the panties looks great.

Ah. Overall how would you say it has worked for you thus far? Do you have any other programs as a point of reference or is this sort of your first?

before there was an automated* way to convert g2f to g3f, the face geometry is so different that previous manual methods (genesis to g2f) caused deformed results. The easy bits can still convert alright (the body) but you'd need to leave the face alone and go the zbrush way. I have posted some g3f convertion that i found ok at the time but some technical issue remain (darn those eyes !) and as i mentioned, the likeness may not be all there. plus the skin texture doesnt convert at all (or at least i havent tired the alchemical recipies some daz forumite wizards found.

i've used zbrush for a year or two now, slowly improving my minimalist understanding of it - enough to correct bad morph in a scene or play with hair flow or clothing. Its my 1st modeling software, so nothing to compare it to. And my background is the written form - i feel clumsy manipulating volumes - doing a facelift with a chainsaw, a plastic knife, and hangovered shaky hands.

    convertion:

    • automation:
i read not long ago of a script that would autoconvert g2f to g3f using a geometryshell (on top of the g3f if i understood correctly) - cant seem to find the link tho.

Now sculpting…you mean manually and not just spinning dials?

ZBrush sculpting - which i am very novice at.

    Awesome!

in fact i went back to g2f.
converting the models to g3f is a pain in the butt, i dont have the sculpting skills to reproduce the faces of my characters, the geometry around the eyes is wonky…
there are a few scripts that converts poses (& templates for clothing) back and forth between g2f-g3f so i aint loosin the new stuff while using the old ones.
I sure miss some g3f bending features but i really dont want to loose my characters identity.

Hm. As I suspected. I'll bet G3F/M has some really 'nice to work with' features. Other than this, the jump from one generation to the next just doesn't seem, well, fundamentally great. I can understand and perhaps even justify the jump from generation 4, but not from a single generation.

    @'~ArgonCyanide777':

    Where'd you get the prop?

    @'~ArgonCyanide777':

Very nice! I'm probably going to delay buying any genesis 3 stuff for awhile but it's good to know the things I've heard about better results with less effort.

  • @'SinCyprine':

    thanks gcrock !

    GORGEOUS !!!

    WOW

  • @'SinCyprine':

    and now some geekery:

Awesome! This is logo-worthy IMO. Where'd you get the prop?

    @'SinCyprine':

    more playing around caustic lights

From that angle she vaguely reminds me of Samus. :)

    @'SinCyprine':

Love their outfits and the whole thing just seems like it…works. the pose, the situation, the expressions. The props. Shit I'm even digging that orange color shader of the redhead's converses--makes all the loudest color shoes I ever had seem mute.

    @'SinCyprine':

    cant… stop...playing...

    @'SinCyprine':

    @'HitmanX3Z':

    Fallout 4?

survival mode with a starting 2 endurance wasnt the brightest idea - still lots of fun :)

Casual scenes can be good, and nice outfit, too!

    @'SinCyprine':

converted Cyprine from g2f to g3f, again. better result i guess.
