  • Yeah pretty neat tech demo, but I dont think that this will be in a mainstream 3d app like poser/daz studio anytime soon. And lets face it, none of us is using other figures, or at least 99.9% of us :)

    I would actually love to use some 3d custom figures which I posted about last year or so, but I really dont want to spend 1k euros on just one figure, even if it looks absolutely fantastic… that would only work if I would sell my images and get back some of that money.

    Been messing around with Genesis as an fbx export into C4D and I have already done some joint control morphing but its just not as good looking as the real one, I simply lack the talent and persistence to get it right. But I have no doubt that a "native" animatable genesis figure inside C4D would be awesome. It is just above my skill level. I might get most things to look okay, but thats really not enough for 3dx I am afraid :/

    Someone with the right skills, please try and get genesis into C4D or 3dsmax so we dont have to use the posing tools in Poser or Daz Studio. Come on, you can do it! :D

    I think it's pretty impressive, but still so far from looking real.

Skin that darkens/lightens as it constrict and stretches - that includes very fine details of the skin and the underlaying layers. Skin is infinitely more complex than metal and glass.

    These are all problems that the 3d industry (not just 3dx) have not successfully tackled. Look at film quality renders - you can always tell it's a render, even if you're just a layman.

    About affinity to fantasy - what i mean is that most 3dx artists are more inclined to fantasy settings and proportions, rather than real life. All the renderings out there tend to gravitate to exaggerated proportions (boobs/cocks, limb/body proportions). Sure even real life porn have those inclinations, but there's still some variety in shapes and sizes. Even the fashion industry is trying to include more variety in shapes and sizes.
