  • Ever since playing Mario is Missing (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/537526), I've been giving this subject quite a bit of thought.

    I think the possibility of a 3dx title that is triple-A quality is just laughable. There's simply not the same amount of money in 3dx, because you cannot sell through mainstream distribution, and you cannot sell to your primary audience.

    So the direction you've got to go with a game is keeping the production costs reasonable (or even kind of a "labor of love" sort of project) while keeping the quality and interest high.

    With that in mind, the game I think would work is a fairly traditional, fairly simple RPG with short 3dx animation loops for the level up sequences and 3dx stills for the combat sequences.

    I think that some story elements would appeal to the folks who want to get involved in their character, but folks who just want to get to some fighting and some sex could skip through them.

    In terms of the story itself, my rough concept is based in a traditional RPG fantasy setting and stars a cliched "whore with a heart of gold" to give a really accessible starting point. Our heroine's country has been over-run, the king and most soldiers killed, and the occupying forces are causing a great deal of turmoil for the inhabitants (especially her and her friends at the whorehouse).

    After a little bit of laying the groundwork and a combat tutorial sort of fight, she winds up finding a book of demonology and witchcraft. She uses that knowledge to grow in power and eventually defeat the occupying soldiers' leader.

    Along the way, the sex scenes (level up scenes) come from the various demons she summons. She can level up multiple times with a given demon to enhance certain attacks (and unlock new scenes), but she also unlocks new demon types as she progresses. In addition to this providing game benefits, it lets people unlock the scenes they want to unlock. Don't like gangbang? Don't unlike the warrior demons. Don't like futa? Don't unlock the succubus. Etc.

    Going to sleep each night to refill health and magic also gives the player the option to replay any unlocked sex scene with one of the demons.

    Anyway, it would still be a lot of work, but I think the general concept is pretty realistic for a team of folks to put together and get a decent final game out of it.



  • Bonetown was a funny idea, but sadly the visuals really sucked and the variation of the poses left alot to be desired aswell.

    A game like that would rock though IF you actually want to make a bit more of a serious game instead of just a few interactive sequences or played pose animations.

    There's a guy or girl who made a sex game based on World of Warcraft, it's called "Whorecraft" (what else? :D ). Haven't played it myself but its seems like a simpler version of WoW where you do quests and get "rewards". Might be interesting if you're in to games like that.

There needs to be a challenge/challenges that the PC needs to overcome before engaging in sex with the NPC (non-playing character) for sexual tension to build up in the player. Once, those challenges are overcome and the (artificial) sex act takes place, sexual tension is released and the player feels a positive sense of accomplishment. This could be done through a dating sim or other type of gameplay, for example, conquering challenges to win a princess in a fantasy setting.

    I say realtime CG with the latest tech and hacks can look very good. The letdowns I see are all that bloom and the shadows and highlights should've been more precise/accurate (to avoid shimmering).

    Anyone remember Alter Ego, male or female version? Beneath the surface of dialogue and narrative, it was a stat based game. You have some freedom in choosing actions and are awarded different stats depending on your choice/outcome. The ending is ultimately the same - you die - but the summary of how you play will be tied to your choices. Imagine infusing each actions with an interactive part (that doesn't suck) and reward variable points depending on how good/bad you play.

    I'm partial to open world games because they don't rigidly confine you to specific actions, but instead give out rewards/punishment based on what you do (and how well you do it). And I love Bethesda's way of gathering experience - the more you do a certain action, the better you are at them. It's a more natural way of assigning points (and dealing with stat based combat). If devs do their job right, you can hide most of stats parts of the game, making it feel like an action game instead.

Health would be represented by clothing status. If it all falls off from damage, you'd better not get hit again. But, since it is magic, it will regenerate over time!

    Most importantly, the sex. Often and in wide variety, but almost all of it optional, and varying depending on some early game choices and party makeup. For instance, after you first meet your three potential party members, you pick two of them and head to the bar. The sex scene after depends entirely on your party makeup; F/F/F, M/F/F, M/M/F, or, hell, even M/M/M. Or you could forgo your party entirely and pick up one of two hookers, M or F, at the bar. Or you could skip it and go to bed. Later scenes would increase the kink. Maybe you or one of your female party members has to blow a horse on an altar for a ritual, or are forced/paid to strip and fuck the local bard in front of a bar full of people. Say you're jumped by horny goblins; either you/your party members are hungry for some goblin cock or you fight them off. Even being beaten by a monster can yield sex; if you have other party members alive, you can give in to a rape-ish scene while the others fight around you, hopefully rescuing you, or you can struggle to prevent rape.

    So, while the plot is mostly set in stone and certain mostly-vanilla sex scenes are unavoidable due to said plot, the idea is for it to be largely tailorable to your taste. Want to be a stud with an all girl team who goes around whoring from town to town? Do it! Want to be a futa BBW with a thing for dogs? Sure! Want to pimp out your ho's but don't like the idea of getting dirty yourself? Absolutely, you can!

    Hmm. Reminds of Fable.

    I do think time and resources will be too high to justify such a game. If you look at almost 3D sex games studios at the moment, most don't have the resources to pull off a decent game (yes, including the hentai favorite Illusion), yet alone a massive action RPG like that.



  • I wouldn't be able to give you a proper answer, it's solely based on personal preference. Of course if you were playing a rape rpg game you probably were more or less looking for the sex scenes rather then the serious gaming content. Otherwise you'd just play a regular mmo. The only point of the backbone rpg system and quests would be as an immersion sort of thing rather then what the game would actaully be about and why people would play it which would be to play out there fantasy scenarios of raping or getting raped.

    I understand what you are saying though usually these Ideas don't work out. When I meant your items got stolen I didn't mean all of them, but yeah regardless it could get pretty annoying but it would depend on your actions as to whether you get raped or not. I imagine that if you were playing a female and were fighting against some bandit then if you get to 0hp then you die like usual but if they can knock you to the ground or unconscious because you were too weak a level, didn't hit the block button or dodge before you are KO then you'd get raped. I'm not a fan of those games where you just get constantly overpowered and raped in every fight. It would have to be like a form of punishment for fighting a monster who's too high a level or forgetting to block during an assault.

    To me, it seems like losing control of your character and having all your gear taken permanently would be frustrating. I would never play a game where losing a fight put me in a situation where I have no real control over my own character.

    Losing all your gear is an intense kick in the balls, too. What if it was good gear? Hours of raiding, lost because some naga got a lucky crit? Why would anyone want to play a game like that?

    I'm seriously asking. Unless you're a hardcore RPG stat spreadsheet min/max type who enjoys ludicrous amounts of "realism", I just can't see the gameplay value in this sort of system.



  • If I had the choice I'd probably make an rpg or mmo similar to World of Warcraft only difference is when you loose fights you get captured by your enemies or raped on the spot and your items stolen. With various different quests to do and a real sense of character progression as you get stronger and become more resistant to rape attempts/ more able to put up a fight. But of course there'd be choices to become corrupted and enjoy it and to stay pure. Not sure how male characters would work but I guess it would be like the factions the evil side and the good side. Good and Evil female characters would be raped and evil males would get to rape when they beat a female opponent and males would die when being defeated. But I guess if you want gay/lesbian options they could be configured.

    I just like the idea of having a great game to play and then adding the sex on top as if it were an extra feature.

  • I personally wouldn't care what the game content, story, quest, etc there are a lot of sex games out there and most are amusing for like an hour but that's about it. But ya know what they don't have?

    Sayako! I would love to see her giving the business to different girls. Like Miro had said, Artificial Girl 3 was probably the best of those that i've seen thusfar, but replace the faceless 12 year old looking male hero with Sayako…NOW we got a game!

    Ideally as Alpensepp said, something like Dragon age but more sexed would be pretty amazing, but that's never going to happen. I think the most we can ever expect to see is more like Aritificial girl and thrixxx's sex villa, which aren't bad but the mod community had to get ahold of them to even get Futa in the game.



  • Continuing the topic, I think a minigame in the form of Super Deepthroat is a lot of fun. Unfortunately, as a game it has very little replay value. That's why I suggested characterization and affinity (beyond appeareance).

    I don't like pure sim style games though, since games like Sexvilla or Sex Sim don't provide enough gameplay. They have very little interactivity (pick a pose, choose a tool, have it move manually or automatic) and don't give rewards for achieving goals.

    At the very least you should spice things up a bit, gameplay wise. Like having some random generated sequence to unlock the next level. Something like Tifa's Swingy Ass - http://schoollove.jp/sl04tsa.htm

    To unlock the next level/power up, you have to correctly replicate a series of short and long strokes (each combo has 8 slots). If you hit a slot correctly, you'll get a hint in the form of a sound. Next to Super Deepthroat, it's one of the few flash games I actually enjoyed playing and find challenging enough than the typical adult/hentai games.

    If you want to make a game, you got to have gameplay. Good gameplay should not only be fun and challenging, but also reward players for investing the time to master the mechanics. I agree with Alpensepp, point-click or quick time events are annoying as hell. That's why I hate most of the adult games out there, particularly Japanese style hentai games, since they 'play' more like an interactive novel (meaning you click a lot) with rudimentary story branch (pick your own adventure style).

    You can have both, a simulation and story/scenario based game. Basically, you have a simulation/sandbox mode as an unlockable (once you finish the whole game). If you don't like the minigame mechanics, you can provide an option to bypass the minigame and rely on other means (like the stats and dice roll in RPG games).
