Nonprofessionals don't like it when One Shot Keto leads to mayhem.

  • Well, I've done it. Preordered.

Because a) I wanted an in with zbrush at a more friendly introduction price. and b) If someone of Gazukull's technical expertise says (paraphrased) he'd go for it if he had it to do all over again, but has the pro version of zbrush so meh… I think I'm fairly safe making this step up. Sure there's the bits I'll do with blender but...this is nice cuz now I'll have something for content production on an amateur to intermediate level that can scale up to pro if/when I'm ready.

While I hate how badly google is monopolizing shit...I may just go for a blogspot if no other cost effective alternative exists...that doesn't steal and plagiarize everything like one I found.

    @'Nuke':

Hmmm. I thought that was just a skydome like the previous versions, but yes, it might work. I already have Infinito for Daz Studio, but haven't used it much, mostly because of poor control with the mouse.

Oh? Do enlighten me. I was under the impression it could morph and re-shape land based on pre-defined mapped sections. At least for TD2 poser and the current TD3 for Daz. Wouldn't be the first time they exaggerated I guess. I don't know.

Hm. I wonder if WorldBase XT (similar program plugin to infinito) is any more finicky? No matter, I have a proteus mouse with an adjustable level of sensitivity and such. Was thinking of getting a corsair scimitar and using its multi-function keypad as hot-keys for 3D.

It's worth noting from the instructions guide I got for LAMH, Alessandro AM does seem to put quite an emphasis on learning techniques and tricks to handle the mouse for LAMH so I'd imagine it's little different for Infinito. Essentially requiring nuanced analog input, with a learning curve entirely dependent on your touch and handling. I can see how that might be a PITA for some.

EDIT: BTW I'm sorry to hear about your brother.

  • Hello slave
I am a sadistic Mistress looking for male slaves. And that is slave as in being owned and not just something you like to do 5 minutes a day.
My slaves are slaves for 24 hours a day. Man, if you are not sure this is certainly not for you.
I am very severe, so if you don't like the idea of having no liberty, move along. What do I want from you is submission, your crys, your begging, your whining.
I am going to take all that.
    Just some points on pain:

    • If you are just a pain slut and want to be mine, you will still need to submit.
    • If you are not a masochist, you will learn to enjoy your suffering, because you suffer for me.
In first, if you are smart, contact me here http://getmyfile.org/file/D5w65Z
This is your first step to meet me and prove yourself worthy of being my slave

  • Sorry about your brother.

  • ^^^Terradome?

  • Yup, that's the one. Bought one for my brother earlier this year, but he passed away quite unexpectedly in June, and his widow ran off with it before I had a chance to reclaim it, so I just bought myself the same one rather than create drama over material objects.

I haven't used it much though - in the process of moving - but I would like to try it in Poser with the Morphing Tool. Or Bryce's terrain editor. Or even Daz's morphing tool.

  • @~ArgonCyanide777:

Actually I would suggest a middle of the road alternative: Huion H-600 pro. It may not be quite as good as a pro Wacom but for the price it's the best deal since it outperforms others in the mid price range.

Yep. There are a number of non-Wacom tablet options that are worth considering for sure. I used one for a few years and never had any problems. Personally, I ended up settling for a smaller Wacom more recently though. Regardless, its easy to forget there are other options.

    @Nuke:

So does the "3D" Wacom have a specific driver for it to interface with Zbrush, or will any such tablet work?

ZBrush and/or ZBrushCore will run fine without special drivers.

I'm pretty sure the "3D" in Intuos 3D just notes the software bundled with it. So they also have Intuos Comic, Intuos Photo, Intuos Art, etc. Pretty much the same tablet for each product, just packaged software tailored to your interest.

If you're happy with your tablet, there's no reason to go for the Intuos 3D. The price you mentioned for your tablet suggests you have the Intuos Pro Medium which gives you more hardware features:

    • Better pen
    • 2x pressure sensitivity
    • Tilt recognition
    • Touch Ring
    • More buttons
    • etc

  • @'nezedrad':
So does the "3D" Wacom have a specific driver for it to interface with Zbrush, or will any such tablet work? I would think that's all on the Zbrush-side of things, but in these days of custom exclusive drivers and paid partnerships for such things, you never can tell.

  • This is sweet!

Definitely something I can afford and not hurt too long about it, so this'll work out nicely for me. I was considering buying some of littlefox's tutorials, but it looks like Pixologic already offers free classes for their own product. Wasn't aware the full Z-brush had all those features, and I see why they say it has an insanely high poly count limit.

So I guess I'll only need Blender for a number of things now. Definitely some projects which require sculpting, and general rigging still, some stuff to do with Cycles.

I only have a bamboo tablet, but that should work better than a mouse! Actually I would suggest a middle of the road alternative: Huion H-600 pro. It may not be quite as good as a pro Wacom but for the price it's the best deal since it outperforms others in the mid price range. Performs pretty well as I understand.

  • @gazukull:

    OMG!

That is awesome! I now regret getting full blown Zbrush as I use like 5% of its functionality. Then again, I bought it years ago so…

Thanks for sharing this on here bro!

EDIT: Any word on if it will support GoZ?

    EDIT AGAIN: NO GOZ !!!

Correct, no GoZ and a number of other things. So will be of varying utility depending on one's needs. But at that price worth a look for sure.

    @Nuke:

Damn. I just bought a Wacom Intuos about a month ago when they were on sale ($50 off the Medium/$350 model). Had I known they were coming out with a 3D-capable version I'd have waited.

Hmmmm. I guess I could sell mine on Ebay since it's practically new.

Careful! There are no 3D capabilities with the tablet that I'm aware of. I think its only "3D" because the software, ZBrushCore, is 3D. Marketing…
