  • I have to set it up for the guy, the key is I bumped the price 100 when I posted the ad, so I let the guy talk me down 50. Just like selling cars.

  • @'hibbli':

that sendowl sounds interesting with their paypal option, but i guess it isnt anonymous? :)

Yah it's not anonymous as I would like, The store I'm setting up on my new site will use a different service. I'll be closing down the send owl probably by the end of Feb as I make the transition over to Redrobot3D.com

  • @'Vik3DX':

    @'Redrobot':

I've set up a store on my blog spot last year when I started into the 3DX field. I actually use a secondary service Sendowl where I post my products. You can set up a little store front on a separate page and sell your work there.

    That's quite a good idea.

I thought PayPal don't allow pornographic content?

I've been using paypal for the past couple of years. Never had a problem with them regarding content. Here is a link to my store page that I'm currently using. However once my site goes up I'll be taking this down: http://redrobot3d.blogspot.com/p/redrobot3d-store-page.html

  • paypal isnt the only option, even if sales would be higher i guess if it was allowed :)

    https://www.bmtmicro.com for example

using that since… 2 years now, never had any problems, good support and 100% anonymous :)
they take... 9% as their cut what is pretty low, but at least 1,25$ per sale
but no advertisement ofc, thats the big bonus offered here

and regarding to your former question about hd pictures, missed that... at least in my case no one ever asked for more than 2000 x whatever pixels

  • @'Nuke':

Ad services pay you for the ads running on your page. What their ToS seems to be saying is that you can't have ads for commercial porn sites on your page. Links to your Renderotica storefront or gallery would probably be allowed, but you just couldn't have ads from parties that you were not affiliated with directly, or that paid you for ad space. This is to prevent people throwing up a click-bait page of 30+ ads and only one (or no) image of actual content related to the original link.

You see these on Facebook all the time - "20 creepiest old photos ever!" and there are 20 pages with one image, but each page is littered with ads that have to load before you see the image you went there to see.

Ahh that makes a lot of sense now. Thanks for the clarity!

  • Lol I actually don't know how much people earn from this seen as I've just started but I guess some folk aren't sure how long they can commit to this. I see this as a hobby than a full-time venture, which is why I've started off with blogger. Baby steps an' all. Maybe it's to do with the time and skill-set of running and maintaining a quality website.

  • something i never understood for example. if you earn money with stuff like that and even if its just a small tip, where is the problem to pay 5-10$ per month for an own website…

  • Lol exactly. The blogspot by Erogenesis is superb, just like a proper website with links to Renderotica, so after reading blogger's content policy I was a bit confused.

  • it is… tolerated, but IF you wanna do this on regular base you always should get your own little domain + kingdom :) elsewhere they decide to delete your blog one day for whatever reasons maybe and everything is lost
