  • I think you are asking about law schools other than NLSIU. The list of decent law schools, in my view, without any ranking or rating whatsoever writing a dissertation methodology, could be the following:

    • University Law College, Bangalore University

    • Christ University Law School

    • Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies (BILS)

    • KLE Society Law College

    • Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian Law College

  • Hello,

Here I am from Canada, and we seem to have some of the most lax laws around. Apparently the only thing we really ban up here is the obvious child pornography. Everything else seems to be available if you go to the right place, and we do have stores you can buy it. And of course, since I have my website server here, I am able to get away with a lot more on it.

  • Like banning small breasted women in adult movies etc etc? Is this for real or are they just talking nonsense?
    http://www.somebodythinkofthechildren.com/australia-bans-small-breasts/

    @'miro':

We have some pretty stupid laws…

  • Those things are there if you want to look for them. It's not illegal. I know I can go to any porn shop in Ohio and get DVDs of scat, fisting, bondage, all that stuff. It's not most people's cup of tea. Okay so in the U.S. there are official ratings systems like the MPAA (motion picture association of america) and ESRB (electronic software ratings board) then on the TV you have this…http://www.tvguidelines.org/ basically the same as the first two.

So porn...is anything that goes far beyond any logical rating. I don't feel restricted at all. If it exists, there is porn of it. I don't know the situation on cable porn because I've never even thought of ordering it.

  • Having just registered, I'll had a few things about the situation in my country, France.

Movies only have to be submitted for proper classification to be released in theater or shown on TV (with different classifications, and a distinction between softcore and hardcore porn). There is a separate law that forbids making any kind of pornographic material available to under 18 years old, so that's what applies to DVDs, magazines, websites… In practice, it's much the same as in most countries: websites have you click on an "I'm 18 or over" button (and check your date of birth when you pay by credit card, for pay sites), stores have to ask for an ID. On TV, only softcore porn can be shown on free-to-air channels (only at night), while pay channels can air hardcore porn (also only at night).

There are no particular restrictions on the acts that can be shown in porn (like fisting, BDSM, rape and so on), as long as all actors are over 18 years old (including fictional characters, for drawings/animation/3D renders/etc). It's worth noting, though, that there are restrictions on the movies that can be shown on TV (even on pay channels), so the biggest porn studios tend to avoid making movies showing particularly "extreme" sexual acts, since they consider the TV market to be quite important (especially the Canal+ network). BTW, since there have been much talks about a law in California making the use of condoms mandatory during porn shootings, I thought I'd mention that it's also the case in France, but (again) only for movies aired on TV (though it seems to be quite widely followed in practice).

    @'buenoexcellente':

I'm from the US, (not like it matters since I'm effectively from teh interwebz) so it's pretty much no fisting, no urine, no scat, no cp, and no restraint during the act.

I'm not American, but I think it's worth noting that there are American companies which openly produce content featuring fisting, urination, bondage sex, simulated rape and more… And some of them have been doing so for years (like, for instance, kink.com, based in San Francisco)... So if it's illegal, then it's not really enforced (CP excepted, obviously).

  • Here in the UK/Ireland:

There is no explicit pornography on TV, even on so-called "Adult Channels", although after midnight there are about 6 free channels showing naked girls (some of whom are actual pornstars) grinding around in front of cameras having phonesex with anyone who phones in.

There are sex shops selling explicit hardcore material (magazines, dvds, sex toys, etc) the vast majority of which is basic mainstream porn from all the major companies, no peeing/scat or incest or bestiality (thank goodness!!!) , although there are alway some BDSM type movies availible there too, but only a minority,

The strangest thing I notice about these sex shops is that the also sell all kinds of marijuana accessories like bongs, pipes, like in some shops you walk in the door and turn left for marijuana accessories, turn right for the porn section of the shop, marijuana is illegal here?!?!?!

  • I couldn't care less about current restrictions. The stuff that is considered illegal disgusts me anyway. It's good to have common sexual preferences.

I don't go into shops to buy porn and I don't watch it on TV. As long as the Internet stays a free place I am good. Lately there are these efforts from different parties to put hard restrictions on the net but as I see it they are doomed to fail. People wont put up with this sort of shit. The entertainment industry makes bigger profits than ever, the big shots working in this sector earn the earth. But they look at the bad, bad Internet and see people downloading stuff illegally and go "WHUT, THERE GOES MA MONEYZ!" like some greedy fucks, while bathing in their gilded whirlpool.

It's quite literally like you own millions, earn millions and people keep stealing cents from you, you neither need nor miss. But you could have them too, so go around calling for restrictions like a madman, only to make even more profit.

If the world ever comes to this we are all done for. Most people realize this and that's why they won't let that happen that easily.

  • nowadays..
i believe we don't really have mainstream porn here anymore, or probably just scarce..
actually, it's the internet and foreign market that has been killing our local film industry (even the non-adult movies are affected).. oh, just to correct that statement - it's not necessarily those factors that kill our local industry but the mentality of our own citizens.. the type which always tries to go along with what's latest in foreign lands..
i'm in a country where you're only permitted to see/show the ladies' top.. - how ridiculous could that be..? >,<
i've seen some which shows the bush in full body shots, no closeups though.. that's already the best that you can get out of the mainstream..
also, no actual sex, just implied.. it's really lame..
but like i said they're almost gone now..
popular actresses in such field only appear in publications and not in films…

    but..
what we have now is the underground porn..
of course it's illegal for our laws do not permit such..
    a.k.a - scandals..
whether scripted or video taped without consent..
    they're hardcore, but still lame..
also another enemy of the local film industry..
they're sort of abundant now due to the internet and availability of mobile cameras..
i believe there are also some illegal producers which targets the foreign market...

overall, everything is still so lame...

There you go miro. This aired last year at approximately 9 pm. And the "minor protection timezone" (GOD that sounds awkward in english XD) starts at 10 pm.

As a matter of fact, This is a clip of what you can see on TV at any given hour. The fact is that since this clip belongs to one of the most watched programs and at the same time one of the most scandalous (people calling other people's names & such) they end up being repeated at any time during the day by other several shows (mostly gossip shows).

I can't actually tell if this year's been better or worse because I try not to watch this show (not that I don't like the whole tit flashing and erotic dancing) it's just a matter of taste. It's done with bad taste. And of course, if I want to see a tit I'll just jump to the internet and I can see tons of them :D

Hope this clarifies a little and hope the video is enough reference.

    @'monstermax20':

First of all, thanks for catching that one for me Arkadio :D

Secondly @miro: The thing that boggles my mind is the following: if you're so concerned as a state that porn doesn't get to the wrong audience, but in the meantime you just let all kinds of strongly suggestive themes/situations/etc show at any given time on TV then I think you're being a bit hypocritical…

Also, I'm not complaining, I just want that they get their facts straight. Just because a certain show has a ridiculous amount of audience and it's one of the most watched shows on TV doesn't mean they should have free reign to do whatever the hell they want, whenever the hell they want.

And now I've gone and turned serious... what the hell's wrong with me??? >_<

well I dont know what you get on TV so I cant say for sure, I would assume though that it's just a bit of shaking ass and such, which imho is not a big deal? … I assume there's no nudity and such right? do you have a clip or something of how bad it is?

In my opinion I dont mind if they ban this stuff completely from TV or only after midnight or whatever as long there are no restrictions for adults and private use!

  • I'm from the US, (not like it matters since I'm effectively from teh interwebz) so it's pretty much no fisting, no urine, no scat, no cp, and no restraint during the act.

I kind of wish the laws were more restrictive. I know it's going to be an unpopular stance, but hear me out.

Within porn what is exciting to me is transgression of taboos, but once the taboo is transgressed it becomes boring. Now look at the internet. A kid used to have to go out of his way to see a naked woman.

I remember seeing a porno mag for the first time, and it blew my mind. There was no penetration, just a bunch of softcore stuff. Now a kid can log onto any local wireless, and watch a bunch of Russian whores get sodomized by horses.

I don't think that's a destructive thing for society or anything. However, I kind of feel bad for that kid. He's going to go from 0 to bored as hell by porn within a few days probably.

Now imagine a guy from Afghanistan or some Victorian gentleman. He goes out with a lady and gets a look at her ANKLE.

    SCORE!!! SUPER BONER!!!!

That guy is going to get serious pleasure out of very small transgressions, and I envy that.

I honestly expect there to be a kind of New Victorianism within my lifetime, where it's just expected culturally that you don't look at porn, and women show almost no skin. It's probably the only way we will be able to get a generation raised on Rocco Siffredi interested in sex again.

I'll throw in some porn for sitting through that lecture :D

    @'Arkadio':

i may be able to answer that one for him.
i think it's not actual porn but a lot of TV shows with interviews with models in skimpy attire.
here it's the same, supposedly theres a time frame in which you can't show some stuff, mainly to protect the kids, but no one pays it any attention whatsoever, you can find girls shaking their asses in swimsuits as easily at 8am or at 8pm… not that i'm complaining xD

ok I get it, well that's not so bad, sounds fairly harmless =) but either way TV is going to be more toned down I would think
As long as they allow porn in a fairly unrestricted manner for private consumption, things are just fine imho

Which are pretty ridiculous after you stand in front of a TV in Argentina for more than 5 minutes at any time of day.

does that mean you have porn on TV? that would be nice =) or like the 16+ stuff?

  • Here in Argentina we have pretty similar regulations to the Uruguayan ones.
13+ = suggestive attire (swimsuits, provocative dress, etc) and/or mild suggestive themes.
    16+ = sexual/strong language and partial nudity
    18+ = basically party time!

  • @'Katzekage':

in german it´s forbidden, but tha is not because of sex it´s because the very high possibility of having disabled children. This law is more a saveguard for children.

i meant in pron, irl i have no doubt it's forbidden
    @'CyCaDeLiC':

It's no problem regarding porn (well, as it's fake anyway in the industry). Many 'incest' movies out there, sold legally.

my point exactly, i believe it's fake for a reason but… if both parties agree...

  • @'Arkadio':

what are your countries' standings regading incest?
i think here it was treated with Mighty Banhammer Mjolnir but i can't say for certain as it's really hard and awkward researching about that kinda stuff
