At the root of all aggression is the "I'm better than you" mentality. Aggression is further fueled by the concepts of religious belief ("you're doing it wrong and it's my job to cleanse your evil from the world") and the concept of "I'm making the world a better place by removing you from it".

Fascism/Socialism/Plutocracy - whatever ideal states that those who have the gold make the rules is going to be popular with those who have the gold. They ignore the fact that the poor outnumber them. France had that problem once.

The problem with human society has always been the concept of one person over another by virtue of some superficiality - skin color, religion, personal wealth, ideology, birth, age, gender, physical strength, height, weight, penis length, breast size, sexual prowess, etc. etc.
We'll never be rid of the idiotic concept of wanting to be "in charge", and there will always be those who promote and those who oppose that concept with violence.
